The older twin of Tristan, Percival is a very grim and driven individual. He worked hard to get his brother and himself out of Haiti and to learn English after their mother died and their aunt could not take care of them. Because of their humble and painful beginnings, he has a very morbid sense of humor, when he shows one at all. He finds little about America amusing and while he doesn't like a lot of the people there or the lacking in sense of community, he is happy to keep to himself and take care of his brother. He is very formal and gracious, though he tends to speak very little and rely on actions instead. He does not approve of his brother's tendencies to get himself into troubling situations and attract the wrong sort of people, and he exerts an aura of protective loyalty to whomever he's taking care of, be it Tristan or someone else. He doesn't find fickle companions to be amusing in the least, and if he feels betrayed in any sort of way, he is not afraid to use intimidation or violence to keep him far away from those he holds dear.
